Transmission Chain Centre supplies “ROTOFLUID” brand gear pump Model “FTDP” which is primarily used for Bitumen transfer and is called by various names like Bitumen Transfer Gear Pump, Bitumen Jacketed Gear Pump, Jacketed Gear Pump or just Bitumen Pump.
It is a jacketed type pump having foot mountings for fixing the rotary gear pump. Apart from Bitumen for which this is specially designed this Gear pump it can also be used for very high Viscosity semi solids like Wax, Adhesives, Asphalt etc. “FTDP” has cast jacketed with S.G.I.N. construction,
The pump casing and gear & shaft are firmly supported by four numbers self lubricated sintered bronze bush bearing which always ensures smooth running. The sealing is done with “GFO” pack Teflon which can sustain high temperature up to 200°C.
This model should be selected for liquid which tend to solidify at room temperature, because it have jacketing construction to facilitate the heating of the pump by steam or thermic fluid. The pumps are available in size (1 ½” & 2″) with thread end connection at suction & delivery. This pump are designed to run at 100 to 500 RPM.
